Jessica Sofarnos is an actor, writer and filmmaker from Naarm (Melbourne).

She has trained and performed for over 20 years across all facets of the arts in screen, dance and musical theatre. She received a Bachelor of Professional Communication majoring in Advertising & Cinema Studies from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology,  studied in the Professional Acting Program at the William Esper Studio in New York City, and shortly after completed Screenwriting for TV at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).

Since 2017, Jessica has worked as a commercial and creative producer, and in early 2020 co-founded SUZY; a production house developing original work that focuses on young, modern life in a domestic Australian setting.

As an interdisciplinary creative, Jessica’s varied experience in film, TV, dance, theatre, writing, advertising and producing has given her a 360-degree understanding of the extensive multi-media & arts landscape; a practice in which she is consistently curious and deeply passionate about.

With a focus on themes such as memory, loss and mind-body impact, Jessica's creative practice is a distinctive exploration of deeply personal experiences framed in a universal context, challenging her audiences to acknowledge the emotional complexities and nuance of every day life.

She currently lives in Melbourne, works in Film & TV production, and is continuing to develop her own narrative films, series, articles & stories.
